POSITION TITLE:  Lottery and Gaming Sales Associate

CLASSIFICATION:  Part Time Hourly

LOCATION:  Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport

REPORTS TO:  Lottery and Gaming Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Lottery and Gaming Sales Associate is responsible for direct sales and prize payouts for all types of Minnesota State Lottery tickets, along with charitable gambling pull tab tickets. The retail location is a busy booth in the main concessions area of Terminal 1 at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. The booth is open seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekends.

  • Strong people skills, takes pride in providing exceptional customer service. 
  • Experience with cash handling, ability to track purchases and prize payouts from five separate cash drawers.
  • Mathematical skills and good with numbers and related processes. 
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, reliable. 
  • Enjoys working independently and as part of a team. 


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Starting pay is $16.25 hourly plus tips.
  • Once fully trained, hourly rate increases to $16.75 per hour.
  • Paid vacation and sick time accrued based on hours worked.

  • Flexible and willing to work weekends and/or evenings when needed. 
  • Ability to walk throughout the airport and lift 30 pounds.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • Experience in customer service and/or sales in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cash-based financial systems.
  • Note: All employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks and maintaining badge holder privileges.
