POSITION TITLE:  Program Associate - Events, Marketing and Partnerships

CLASSIFICATION:  Full-Time Exempt

LOCATION:  Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport

REPORTS TO:  Director, Marketing & Communications

SALARY RANGE:  $45,000 - $55,000/year

GENERAL SUMMARY:  The role of Program Associate – Events, Marketing and Partnerships is vital for supporting strategic activations with Foundation stakeholders. The Associate works closely with the Marketing and Communications Director as well as the Partnerships and Development Manager to execute comprehensive commercial strategies. 

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Marketing and Communications campaigns with content creation and production.
  • Provide support for partnership programs, tourism promotion, fundraising events and grantmaking activities. 
  • Manage inventory of promotional items/supplies.
  • Sales support – lead generation and qualification/research.
  • Assist with events/activations in the airport and off-site. 
  • Help create/update content for print and digital platforms.
  • Assist meeting prep, including virtual and in-person.
  • Assist with community outreach activities.
  • Schedule meetings and assist with basic admin duties. 
  • All other duties as assigned.
     

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to create and maintain digital content using website design applications such as WordPress, Squarespace, Go Daddy or similar.  
  • Proficiency in managing B2B and B2C social media content including LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. 
  • Expertise using analytical tools to measure digital engagement.
  • General knowledge implementing Search Engine Optimization strategies.
  • Proficiency in using business software applications such as Salesforce, Zoho or similar.  
  • Expertise with Microsoft 365 including Excel and Access. 
  • Proficiency using marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Eventbrite, Mailchimp or similar.  
  • Being a problem solver while thinking critically and contributing to a highly functional, collaborative team. 
  • Having a strong sense of initiative and possess highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Having comfort in working with a diverse population. 
  • Being flexible and willing to work weekends and/or evenings when needed.
  • Having the ability to walk throughout the airport and lift 30 pounds.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Access database, customer or fund management software preferred. 
  • Experience in/passion for travel, aviation, or nonprofit sectors a plus.
